- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 pound ground pork
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 carrots, diced
- 2 celery stalks, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 cup red wine
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add ground beef and pork, cooking until browned.
- Add onion, carrots, celery, and garlic; sauté until vegetables are tender.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, and red wine.
- Add oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
