- 500 g All-purpose flour
- 70 g Sugar
- 10 g Salt
- 25 g Yeast
- 2 Eggs
- 250 ml Milk
- 60 g Butter
- 1 liter Oil for frying
- 400 g Pastry cream
- In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
- Dissolve the yeast in warm milk and let it activate for 10 minutes.
- Add the yeast mixture, eggs, and softened butter to the dry ingredients. Knead until smooth.
- Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough and cut it into circles.
- Allow the dough circles to rise for another 30 minutes.
- Heat the oil in a deep pan, then fry the doughnuts until golden brown on both sides.
- Filled the cooled doughnuts with pastry cream using a piping bag.
- Coat with powdered sugar and serve.
Notes
- Make sure the oil is hot enough before frying.
- Let the filled bomboloni cool slightly before serving.
