  • 2 cups sauerkraut

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced onion and sauté until translucent.
  3. Push the onions to the side and add the bratwurst, browning them on all sides.
  4. Add the sauerkraut, chicken broth, and caraway seeds; season with salt and pepper.
  5. Bring to a simmer, cover, and cook for 20-25 minutes until the bratwurst are cooked through.
  6. Serve hot with additional sauerkraut on the side.
