- 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup cooked quinoa
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium heat.
- In a large bowl, mash the black beans with a fork until mostly smooth.
- Add the cooked quinoa, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, cumin, smoked paprika, cilantro, salt, and pepper.
- Mix until well combined and form into patties.
- Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Serve on buns with your favorite toppings.
Notes
- These burgers can be frozen before cooking for an easy meal later.
- Pair with avocado and fresh veggies for an extra boost.
