A delicious twist on the classic Dutch burger, perfect for BBQs or family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 500 grams ground beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 100 grams breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 slices of cheese
  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 1 cucumber, sliced
  • mayonnaise to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, onion, garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  2. Form the mixture into patties.
  3. Grill or fry the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, until fully cooked.
  4. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty to melt.
  5. Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf, a patty with melted cheese, tomato, cucumber, and mayonnaise on each bun.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • For added flavor, let the burger patties marinate for 30 minutes before cooking.
  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure the burgers are cooked to an internal temperature of 75°C (165°F).
