Delicious stuffed yuca balls filled with savory ingredients, perfect as a snack or appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds yuca
  • 1 cup cheese, grated
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Peel and cook yuca in salted water until tender, about 20 minutes.
  2. Drain and let cool slightly, then mash until smooth.
  3. Add cheese, egg, salt, pepper, and garlic powder to the yuca and mix well.
  4. Form the mixture into small balls and set aside.
  5. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  6. Fry the yuca balls until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  7. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
