A delicious and hearty casserole inspired by the classic Philly cheesesteak.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion diced
  • 1 green bell pepper diced
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 cups cooked pasta
  • 2 cups provolone cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion, bell pepper, and mushrooms; sauté until soft.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned; drain excess fat.
  4. In a large bowl, mix the cooked pasta, beef mixture, sour cream, beef broth, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  5. Transfer to a greased baking dish and top with provolone cheese.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes

  • For a spicy kick, add sliced jalapeños to the mixture.
  • This dish can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
