This delicious Philly Cheesesteak Stromboli is a flavorful twist on the classic sandwich, wrapped in golden, flaky dough.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound thinly sliced ribeye steak
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 ounces provolone cheese, shredded
  • 1 package pizza dough
  • 1 egg, beaten for egg wash

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté the onions and bell peppers until soft.
  3. Add the mushrooms and cook until tender.
  4. Stir in the ribeye steak, garlic powder, salt, and pepper, cooking until the steak is browned.
  5. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface, then add the steak and veggie mixture in the center.
  6. Top with provolone cheese.
  7. Fold the dough over the filling and seal the edges.
  8. Brush with the beaten egg.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
