1 pound ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
1 green bell pepper, diced
1 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon mustard
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon chili powder
4 slices Texas toast
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef along with the onion and bell pepper until softened.
Drain excess fat, then stir in the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, garlic powder, and chili powder. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until heated through.
Toast the Texas toast until golden brown.
Top each slice of Texas toast with the sloppy joe mixture and sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
