- 8 cups apple juice
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 orange, sliced
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 2 tablespoons whole cloves
- In a large pot, combine the apple juice, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
- Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring to dissolve the sugar.
- Add the sliced orange and lemon to the pot.
- Let simmer for at least 30 minutes, allowing flavors to blend.
- Strain the mixture to remove the fruit slices and whole cloves.
- Serve warm in mugs.
